# Draft Experiment Set-Up

This page explains the first step in setting up a draft experiment.

## Creating a Draft

Go to the 'Draft Experiment' tab from the left pannel and click 'Create Draft'.  Once you have named your draft you will be on the 'Set-up' tab.<br>

## Content Slots

Content Slots refer to specific email or push items as they would be reflected in your ESP. For example 'Email 1', 'Email 2' and 'Email 3' of a Welcome Series would each require one slot. (The number and attributes of variants generated per slot is not decided here, it will be set in the Variant Generation section.)&#x20;

Each content slot must be attributed the following:

* A schema: a pre-defined selection of dynamic elements in the creative. This should map to a given template. (For example: h1, h2, img\_1 )
* A template: the creative template you want to use for the given slot.&#x20;
* A style guide: a pre-defined list of qualities you want the creative to follow.
* A rule guide: a pre-defined list of rules you want the creative to follow that will inform the evaluation process
